Image for Windows provides an easy and convenient way to back up all your data, programs and operating system to your hard drive. Your backups can be written directly to external USB and FireWire drives, to internal or network drives, and even directly to CD, DVD or BD. The package includes an easy-to-use MakeDisk wizard for creating bootable recovery disks. To restore your data, programs, and operating system back to the state it was in when the backup was created, simply run the recovery disc and restore the partitions or drives you need to restore. It is so easy.
As a key component of TeraByte Drive Image Backup and Restore Suite, Image for Windows uses technology provided by Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) or PHYLock, additional components included in the suite. VSS and PHYLock allow you to continue using your computer while the backup is locked at a specific point in time. This eliminates the inconsistencies that usually occur when backing up used partitions.
Windows Image runs under the Windows operating system, but can back up or restore any partition, including DOS or Linux, and even partitions encrypted by third-party software.
TeraByte disk image files generated by Image for Windows are compatible with all TeraByte Unlimited disk imaging products of the same major version number (all products are cross-compatible). This gives you the flexibility to restore the disk image using the components of your choice.
